The Dublin Commons project involves redeveloping the Dublin Place Shopping Center as part of the Downtown Dublin Preferred Vision.
This mixed-use development will encompass 275,000 square feet of retail (comprising 155,000 square feet of new retail and 120,000 square feet of existing retail), 535,000 square feet dedicated to Research and Development (Life Science), 1,510 multifamily residential units, and a new Town Square.
Project entitlements include a Vesting Tentative Map and a Development and Community Benefit Program Agreement.
The collaboration between the City and the property owner began years before adopting the Preferred Vision. In 2019, the City Council adopted a Resolution that approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and ARA. At that time, Dublin Place shopping center was eight parcels with three different property owners. Staff worked with the majority property owner, ARA, to amend the CC&Rs that encumbered the shopping center and partnered with ARA to acquire 7300 Amador Plaza Road (the primary location of the Dublin Place North project).
