Waterford Property Co. has announced the start of construction on a new affordable housing complex in Milpitas.
Located at 1397 California Circle, the project calls for the construction of a five-story building featuring 75 apartments reserved for households earning between 30 and 70 percent of the area median income level.
KTGY is designing the project, which will include a ground-floor parking garage, courtyards, a community room, and a fitness room, among other amenities. The project is depicted in a rendering as a contemporary low-rise building.
Completion of 1397 California Circle is expected in early 2028.
Other members of the project team include Pacific Housing, Inc., which will provide services to residents, and C&C Development, which is helping to build the project. Financing was provided by California Bank & Trust, Citibank, and National Equity Fund.
