Construction is complete for Orlo and Alba, a mixed-use development at the Santa Clara's Gateway Crossings development, MVE + Partners announced this week.

The projects at 1200 Rickabaugh Way and 350 Chastain Place, which are part of the Highline Transit Village, were both developed by Holland Partner Group. Combined, they feature a total of 725 residential units, as well as ground-floor commercial space and a two-acre central green area.

Orlo, which was the first to open, features 318 apartments in a seven-story building clad in brick as an homage to Santa Clara's industrial past. The complex features a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 3,613 square feet of retail space and amenities.

Alba, with 407 apartments and 11,345 square feet of retail, has a more modern feel. The seven-story structure also includes parking for 641 vehicles, and a space to house the Santa Clara Police Activities League.

Other members of the project team include Unter Storm, Videa Design Group, Peterson Studio, BKF, FBA, Inc., and Nelson Structural Engineers.

Both buildings sit to the west of San Jose International Airport, and a short distance east of Caltrain's Santa Clara Station.
