SamTrans is asking the community to help shape the future of the Dumbarton Corridor as it moves into the next phase of planning for Reimagine Dumbarton, a project exploring a new zero-emission busway, walking and biking trail and community amenities between Redwood City and East Palo Alto.
SamTrans is seeking community feedback on the next phase of planning for Reimagine Dumbarton, which could bring a zero-emission busway, a multi-use trail, and other amenities to the Dumbarton Corridor between Redwood City and East Palo Alto.
Between September 9 and October 30, is asking community members to weigh in on preliminary designs for the corridor, including preferred design elements, connections, and amenities like mini parks and playgrounds.
The project will convert roughly five miles of former freight rail right-of-way for new transit and active transportation uses, with potential links to the Redwood City Transit Center and Caltrain.
The feasibility study is expected to conclude in spring 2027.
