Strada Investment Group, the project developer, works with Swinerton, the general contractor, and the architecture firm Solomon Cordwell Buenz on the 501-unit project 555-585 Bryant in San Francisco.  Construction commenced in early 2022 and projected is projected to be completed in 2025.

The Project combines seven lots between Bryant and Welsh Streets to construct a 160-foot-tall mixed-use multi-family residential building with 501 dwelling units, 20,605 square feet of PDR space, and 125 parking spaces. Seventy-one units will be designated as affordable housing. The unit mix comprises 85 studios, 206 one-bedrooms, and 210 two-bedrooms.

The Project's design incorporates two mass reduction breaks, angled bay windows, active ground-floor uses fronting Bryant Street, and townhome-style residential walkup units fronting Welsh Street. It will also include streetscape improvements, including sidewalk widening on Bryant and Welsh Streets and new street trees.

In December 2018, Planning adopted the creation of the Central South of Market Housing Sustainability District, creating a ministerial approval process. Under this process, the Project is approved without discretion if it complies with the specific requirements and all other requirements of the Planning Code and with all applicable mitigation measures of the Central SoMa EIR.

The project received ministerial approval under this process.
